PACK EXPO

PACK EXPO trade shows offer the opportunity to connect you with prospective buyers and move your business forward. In 2023, record-breaking PACK EXPO shows brought buyers and sellers together in person at EXPO PACK Guadalajara and PACK EXPO Las Vegas.
PACK EXPO Las Vegas drew over 32,000 attendees who actively engaged with more than 2,300 exhibitors across nearly 1 million net square feet of exhibit space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This event not only stands as the largest packaging and processing trade show in North America in 2023 but as the largest PACK EXPO Las Vegas in the show’s history.

In response to the escalating threat of cyber-attacks and their potential impact on businesses, PMMI’s CyberHealth was highly sought after in 2023. This year, CyberHealth expanded its outreach, delivering timely warnings about imminent cyber threats through monthly features in the PMMI Conveyor newsletter. Moreover, the initiative has solidified its online presence via successful social media outreach and with dedicated blog posts focused on solutions and tips for member companies. The CyberHealth program is set to continue its growth in 2024, promising an increased volume of content and engaging webinars to further empower members against cybersecurity challenges.
CyberHealth News and Blog
2023 was an incredible year for the Young Professionals Network (YPN) as we continue to engage the next generation of packaging and processing leaders through events, leadership development, mentoring, and thought leadership. In 2023 we had two opportunities to meet in person and network with our YPN peers at the Young Professionals Conference in July in Chicago and the Young Professionals Networking Reception in September at PACK EXPO Las Vegas. We revealed this year’s class of On the Rise Award honorees in October at the Annual Meeting in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Lastly, we provided timely, informative content on our blog with topics such as creating SMART goals, hosting effective meetings, building office camaraderie, connecting with the Next Gen workforce, and more.
In 2023, PMMI's Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network (PPWLN) experienced a year of notable achievements and growth. Notable highlights include a highly attended breakfast at PACK EXPO Las Vegas (750+), featuring guest speaker Manjit Minhas, and a successful student tour after that engaged approximately 50 students in discussions with PPWLN executive council members. The network expanded its impact with the launch of the PPWLN Learning Circles webinar series, attracting around 100 participants each, delving into key skills for professional and personal growth. Further, the PPWLN Latin American chapter thrived with a successful event at EXPO PACK Guadalajara, which continues to grow each year. 2023 – Celebrating the Milestones

2023 was a year of new milestones and significant achievements for PMMI. As we celebrated our 90th year, PMMI’s membership rolls topped 1,000 member companies for the first time ever. We announced a new trade show – PACK EXPO Southeast to be held in 2025 in Atlanta. We brought the industry together at new PMMI Media Group events such as the Emerging Brands Summit and the Packaging Recycling Summit. We held 27 summer camps sponsored by the PMMI Foundation to introduce a new generation to the possibilities of our industry. We helped make our industry safer with an updated ANSI/PMMI B155.1 Standard for Packaging and Processing Machinery Safety.

Our trade shows broke new records – with the largest EXPO PACK Guadalajara to date; followed by PACK EXPO Las Vegas, breaking new ground with over 2,300 exhibitors, 32,000 attendees, and the largest exhibit floor in the show’s history.

Each new milestone we reach is because of you, our members. We hear your challenges, we listen to your needs, we understand your desire to grow, to strengthen your business, to improve your operations, and ultimately to connect with customers.

This is the driving force that guides our work every day. And as we move into the new year, we remain determined to continue to bring the industry together, offer programs and services to support your business, and provide you the right tools to help your business thrive, such as the Certified Technical Sales Professional program, our library of business intelligence reports, our UnPACKed podcast interviews, and the PMMI Manufacturing Excellence Member Forum, to name just a few.

2024 promises to be another year filled with opportunities to advance our industry and connect with customers. Check out PMMI’s weekly Conveyor – every Tuesday – or visit pmmi.org any time to keep up with the programs and services designed to move your business forward.

I look forward to what’s to come this new year, and I thank you for helping to make 2023 a milestone year for PMMI and the industry.
