The Journey to E-Learning

The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. It is likely that E-Learning is the next journey many of us will take. I have to admit that I have been very reluctant to join the throngs who are marching down this road. Recently, however, I was forced to do so (perhaps drafted) when one of the classes I teach at Westwood College went hybrid. I am just finishing my first attempt to combine “hard” class time with distance learning, or computer assisted learning, or any other names currently used to reference this learning technique.

The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), the leading global packaging industry resource and trade association, announces the PMMI Technical Training Community of Practice. The Community of Practice is an open forum for end users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to address common challenges in operator training in order to develop best practices and clearly define expectations.
