What does your company specialize in?

PAC Machinery specializes in manufacturing of flexible packaging equipment, in particular bag sealers, vacuum sealers, wrapping machines, shrink wrappers, automatic bagging, and pretty much anything that goes in a bag or a pouch that needs to be sealed.

How did you get your start in the packaging industry?

Well, I feel like I've been in the packaging industry my entire life. When I was a young kid, I remember being in the factory with my grandfather who invented a little machine to seal plastic bags, the smell of oil in the machine shop, everything. Professionally, I got started in the early 2000s when I headed up our food packaging equipment with a focus on products to extend the shelf life of things like fresh cut produce, meats and cheeses.

How did I get involved with PMMI and what's my favorite PMMI event or program?

I got involved with PMMI by attending the Executive Leadership Conference and Annual Meetings as a kid. After that, I got involved in PMMI through the Business Intelligence Committee and that was a great way to get started to see all of the interesting surveys, reports and market research.

My favorite PMMI program is the Executive Leadership Conference. It’s a great way to not only network with your peers, but get outside the office and really strategize and get good ideas for the future of your business.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

PMMI is a great association not just for the packaging industry but some of my best friends are PMMI members.
