A Business Developer contributes to the success of an organization by driving the growth and profitability of the company. Their duties include coordinating with multiple departments, reviewing current market trends, proposing new business ideas to improve revenue and working closing with customers.

Job Duties

  • Work with sales, marketing and customer service to understand market trends and customer needs.
  • Work with engineering to drive execution on key platform product development.
  • Develop and give presentation to prospective customers and internal executives.
  • Negotiate contract terms with customers and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Prospecting target market accounts.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Proposal generation.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field of study

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing customers.
  • Creativity to approach sales and build customer relationships in groundbreaking new ways.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency with work processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress sales environment and multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize consultative selling strategies and tactics in a competitive sales environment.
