What does your company specialize in?
My company specializes in solutions that improve productivity, quick change or adjustable systems that increase container handling performance and decrease machine end-line downtime.
How did you get your start in the packaging and processing industry?
I was introduced to the packaging industry by my dad in 1989 when I attended my first trade show in Chicago and was immediately drawn to the unique opportunities for women in this industry.
How did you get involved with PMMI?
We started up our company in 1993 and we were one of PMMI's inaugural Canadian members in 1997. I got involved with PMMI through the encouragement, support and inclusivity of fellow members and PMMI staff. From the very beginning, it was always instilled that the more you get involved, the more you'll benefit from the association at large, and it holds true today.
What are your favorite PMMI events or programs?
I have served on many committees including the Program, Industry Relations, Trade Show and now the Strategic Planning Committee, and currently serve as co-chair of the Packaging & Processing Women's Leadership Network. When asked the question what my favorite PMMI events and programs are, it would be many, if not all that I've participated in over the years. The events, trade shows, programs, speakers and workshops that PMMI produces are invaluable resources.
