What does your company specialize in?
Our company specializes in sustainable bundling solutions that are both good for the environment, and good for the bottom line. A true win-win when it comes to sustainable packaging.
How did you get your start in the packaging and processing industry?
I began my career in manufacturing over 40 years ago. Everything in manufacturing gets packaged. And so I've had quite a few years of packaging experience. But 16 years ago, I was fortunate enough to become an owner at Felins Incorporated in Milwaukee. It’s such a great company, and it's such a great business environment to be in the world of packaging and processing.
How did you get involved with PMMI?
Our company has been involved with PMMI for many years. Initially we were one of those member companies that joined PMMI just to get a discount on a trade show. And what we learned over the years is what you put into something you get out of it. If you put more in, you get a lot more out of it. And that's certainly been true with our experiences with PMMI.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, I also serve on the Future Workforce Committee. This committee is very, very important to all PMMI member companies, of which there's about a thousand, and we're working on filling the pipeline for the future workforce for all of our organizations. We’re working on creating awareness on the career potential for those who choose to embark on a career in packaging and processing.
What are your favorite PMMI events or programs?
Our company attends the Executive Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting. We are also always excited to exhibit at PACK EXPO trade shows. It’s always great to see our customers in person and rekindle old relationships.
