With mechatronics engineering technology credentials, you will use basic engineering principles and technical skills to develop and test automated, servomechanical, and other electromechanical systems. Responsibilities include assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical systems. Course work includes: Prototype testing Manufacturing and operational testing Systems analysis Maintenance procedures Upon completion, graduates should be prepared for the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) mechatronics or similar certification exams. Passing these exams demonstrates job readiness to employers.
