PMMI Certified Trainers maintain their certification by completing continuing education requirements every two years. Continuing education reinforces and increases your skill set. Trainers can complete one of the following three options to satisfy the requirements:
Certified trainers whose certification has lapsed will now have the opportunity to be re-instated. We have developed a 1-day workshop to reinstate trainers who have left the program but have continued training. The workshop will be held on-demand at a company location.
To qualify for the reinstatement workshop, the lapsed trainer:
**Individuals who do not pass the placement exam will not be eligible for the reinstatement workshop and will need to re-take the original workshop.
Learn from the Experts at a PMMI Certified Trainer Workshop
The PMMI Certified Trainer Program facilitators have 75 years of combined experience in the consumer products goods manufacturing industry. Previously directing training operations on beverage and bakery and snack packaging lines at industry leading companies, all three facilitators offer first-hand knowledge of integrating new equipment, writing job aids, implementing skill upgrade programs and enhancing employee retention through the coordination of training courses.
Nancy Cobb is currently President and owner of Partners in Possibilities, Inc., which serves as an organizational development consulting firm to various companies across a wide range of industries.
With over 20 years in the manufacturing industry, Cobb has gained comprehensive experience integrating the cultural and technical changes created by capital projects; recruiting and retention; training and development; communications; and employee assistance. She also has expertise in maintenance training, having designed and implemented apprentice, pay-for-skill-and-knowledge programs, and skill upgrade programs.
Prior to starting her company, Cobb served as training manager at Nabisco for 20 years. During this time, she was responsible for managing the organizational development function, including the design and implementation of corporate and plant-wide change management initiatives, quality and continuous improvement, reengineering, employee empowerment, management/leadership development, and generational diversity programs.
In 2002, Cobb published, “The Project Management Workbook: Field-Proven Strategies for Managing Your Greatest Asset,” a widely distributed book that shows project managers how to combine process, technology and human components to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Cobb received her bachelor’s degree in Education from Western Illinois University and a master’s in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University.
Sheree Evans-Metcalf was the Technical Trainer for Molson-Coors Golden Brewery Packaging Division, in Golden, CO where she had been employed for 33 years. She retired in 2007.
In the past 26 years, she was involved in the installation and start-up training of any new equipment installed in the packaging division. Additionally, she wrote job aids, work instructions and training manuals, along with coordinating training and facilitating classes for over 500 employees. Sheree managed the Coors Maintenance Apprenticeship Program for Coors Golden Business Brewery and graduated 20 journeymen from this program. Since retiring from Molson-Coors Brewing Company, Sheree has started a consulting business, S.E.M. Consulting Group, LLC, where she specializes in training for the manufacturing industry. She is currently teaching the PMMI Certified Trainer Program for PMMI.
Sheree received a B.S. degree in Human Resource Management from Regis University in Denver, CO. She is also a Certified Trainer in Root Cause Failure Analysis and Problem Solving Methods from the Reliability Center, Inc, located in Hopewell, Virginia.
Lester Stephenson is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer. He served on six ships and a patrol plane squadron in the electronics field. After his navy service, he worked eleven years as a trainer and tech writer on vertical and horizontal packaging machines for Hayssen. Then he founded Stephenson Services LLC where he provides training and tech writing services to business and industry as well as teaching manufacturing and industrial maintenance courses at two nearby colleges.
Lester has more than twenty-five years of training experience. He has taught in the military, public schools, college, and industry. In addition, he is an OSHA Outreach Trainer authorized to teach the OSHA 10 & 30-hour courses. He keeps his technical skills up to date by answering service calls on a variety of electromechanical equipment. Lester is also a published author with twenty-four magazine articles and a book.
Lester has an AA degree in liberal arts from Excelsior College in New York and a BA in liberal arts from Governors State University in Illinois. He has two graduate degrees, a MS in Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and a Master of Ministry from Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, TN.
