Cancelation Policy: Workshop cancellation must be received ten business days prior to your scheduled workshop in order to receive a refund. If cancelled after the deadline, you have the option of rescheduling for a future iteration of the same workshop at no cost within 6 months and are billed any incurred costs by instructors.

Learn from the Experts at a PMMI Certified Trainer Workshop
The PMMI Certified Trainer Program facilitators have 75 years of combined experience in the consumer products goods manufacturing industry. Previously directing training operations on beverage and bakery and snack packaging lines at industry leading companies, all three facilitators offer first-hand knowledge of integrating new equipment, writing job aids, implementing skill upgrade programs and enhancing employee retention through the coordination of training courses.
Lester Stephenson completed a twenty-year career in the US Navy working on electronic systems while serving on two guided missile cruisers and four destroyers. He worked for Hayssen as a technical trainer and tech writer. He taught classes on vertical and horizontal packaging machines and combination weigher scales. He frequently traveled to customer sites for training sessions and service calls.
He is also an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer where he teaches the ten and thirty hour safety courses. He has more than thirty years working in training and development while teaching in the military, public schools, and college, as well as industry.
He has traveled extensively, visiting thirty-five countries and all fifty states. Among his accomplishments are twenty-five magazine articles, a book, and several college degrees including a master’s degree in education and a PhD. When not training or writing, Lester is an avid reader and works in the yard at his home in the Upstate of South Carolina.
Kevin is currently working as a lecturer for University of Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie Wisconsin teaching a course in packaging machinery. He also supports the Apparel Design and Construction labs as a lab manager and advisor for the Baja club at UW Stout. He also keeps current as a production manager for American Design and Packaging in his hometown of New Richmond Wisconsin that supplies the industry with a variety of types of rotating accumulation tables. Currently he works with PMMI as an instructor for Fundamentals of Field Service, a training course he helped develop. He can be found working on cars or spending time outdoors enjoying his free time at home or traveling.
His work history includes the position of Field Service Engineer for Bemis Machinery in Green Bay Wisconsin, the town where he was born. The work was in the development and support of sterile liquid and powder filling systems, horizontal flow wrappers and pallet wrappers though out the 1980’s. He was hired for the role of instructor for Automated Packaging Systems Technician to develop a program to train assemblers, maintenance and service technicians at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in New Richmond Wisconsin where he also graduated from after high school graduation. He had been teaching at the technical college for 32 years and is currently at the University of Wisconsin Stout for the past 6 years.
Earning a diploma in Packaging Machinery Service from the Technical College, he then continued with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Packaging engineering at UW Stout. Accepting the role of teaching required a Master of Science degree in Vocational Education. Both degrees from the University of Wisconsin Stout, a Polytechnic University. He has performed many credit and non credit employee training courses for local employers as well as assessments of workforce skills and the development of certifications used by employers. He has maintained professional contact by memberships in the Institute of Packaging Professionals and attending many International Expos and training sessions.
