What does your company specialize in?

Delkor specializes in the design and manufacturing of a wide range of case packing and cartoning machines with a strong focus on vision-based robotics. We have a well-established reputation for innovation with packaging machines, as well as inventing a new generation of retail-ready packaging designs, which are now widely used by mass merchandisers.

How did you get your start in the packaging and processing industry?

I got my start in the packaging and processing industry in the 1980s, when my husband, Dale Andersen began working at Delkor. Then in 1999, he and I purchased Delkor and continued to expand on opportunities and our future vision for the company. My role at Delkor is to focus on strategic planning initiatives and talent development. I thoroughly enjoy the opportunities to positively impact our customers and ultimately consumers.

What are your favorite PMMI events or programs?

My favorite PMMI event is the Annual Meeting. I really enjoy participating in that event because it allows for ample opportunity to network with other companies. Plus, there's the additional benefit of receiving a tour of a member's facility. There are always so many important takeaways from seeing firsthand how other companies conduct business.

What have you enjoyed most about being on the PMMI Board of Directors?

What I enjoy most about being on the Board is that Jim and his senior management team lead with passion and they're willing to challenge the status quo. They aren't only looking for the fast home run, but also for sustainable improvements that can positively impact association members.

The dedication of the PMMI staff is phenomenal and I have great respect for them. For me personally, having been selected to assume the role of Vice Chair of the Board has been a tremendous honor. I accepted the position because of all the great member companies that participate in our trade association. Collectively, we have the responsibility to help create diversity change in our industry. And I couldn't be prouder of my role in assisting with that initiative.

What are you looking forward to most about PACK EXPO Connects?

I'm looking forward to experiencing a very creative approach to showcase Capital Equipment Manufacturers using live demos and to connect them in an engaging way with customers at PACK EXPO Connects.
