Respected food and beverage industry journalist, Michael Costa, joins the ProFood World editorial team.
PMMI Media Group’s market-leading brand for food and beverage manufacturers, ProFood World, welcomed a new editorial team member this month. Michael Costa is ProFood World’s new Senior Editor, reporting to Editor-in-Chief, Aaron Hand.
Costa has a wealth of experience covering the food and beverage industry from a variety of angles. Most recently, he was Editor-in-Chief for BNP Media’s Food Engineering and Refrigerated & Frozen Foods magazines, reporting on the food manufacturing and cold chain logistics industries. Prior to his work at BNP Media, he spent 12 years as Editorial Director of Hotel F&B magazine, where he focused on the business of food and beverage in lodging, restaurants, bars, catering and other market segments.
A journalism graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, Costa’s media expertise also includes six years in TV news as a reporter at network affiliates around the country. Additionally, early in his career, he worked in the kitchen and in food and beverage purchasing for the Sheraton Grand Chicago, while attending culinary school at the Illinois Institute of Art.
