Beverage Industry Packaging Trends, published by PMMI – The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies in March 2025, examines current and near‑term shifts in packaging investment, materials, and readiness based on a survey and in‑depth interviews conducted November 2024–January 2025. The analysis indicates growing capital allocation toward capacity and flexibility, focusing on supplier partnerships, including filling and conveying through palletizing; sustainability and material transitions, including a shift away from rigid plastics toward paper‑based and flexible options; and technology integration with workforce and service needs, such as digital diagnostics, remote support and operator simplification. Charts highlight industry benchmarks and emerging patterns that tend to cross company sizes. The report reveals where engineering teams are prioritizing investments to strengthen operational resilience.
