Top To Top Summit 2016 Report

Published:

The Future of Collaboration: Approaches for Getting There, a 2016 Top to Top Summit Report published by PMMI – The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, examines collaboration challenges and opportunities discussed at the Feb. 28–March 1, 2016 summit, drawing on 2015 Vision 2020 findings and breakout sessions. The analysis indicates three focus areas—workforce development and retention emphasizing training, certification and knowledge capture; changeover agility and multifunctional equipment, including modular design, SMED and improved HMI; and capital‑spend alignment via Total Cost of Ownership and shared KPIs—where participant feedback generally shows converging priorities; charts highlight patterns and examples such as remote monitoring and app-like HMIs. The report reveals where CPG and OEM leaders are prioritizing investments to strengthen operational resilience.
